Ian Machado Garry threatens to "box the ears off" Belal Muhammad while issuing ice-cold warning, 'Remember The Name' responds

Ian Machado Garry recently issued a stern warning to Belal Muhammad. In response, Muhammad playfully hinted that Madison Square Garden would be the venue for their potential bout.

'The Future' is fresh off a unanimous decision victory over Carlos Prates at UFC Kansas City. Meanwhile, Muhammad faced a setback in his last fight, losing the 170-pound title to Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 315.

Garry believes 'Remember The Name' lost against Della Maddalena because of attempting to engage in standup exchanges with the Australian. Through an Instagram post, the Irishman suggested that Muhammad should avoid it against him, saying:

"I’m going to box the ears off you because I'm the best in [welterweight] division… Belal, learn from your last loss and never ever try and stand and bang with me."

@ChampRDS then reshared the Irishman's post on X. Shortly after, Muhammad responded in the comments section and wrote:

"I’ll see you at msg"

Although there has been no official confirmation yet, similar to last year, MSG is expected to host a UFC event in November later this year.

Ian Machado Garry discusses the current stature of UFC's welterweight division

Ian Machado Garry recently discussed the growing excitement in UFC's welterweight division.

During an interview on The Ariel Helwani Show, Garry mentioned several young and ambitious fighters in the division. Suggesting that their presence makes the 170-pound weight class particularly thrilling, he said:

"When you look at the welterweight division right now and the way the welterweight division has evolved, I'd argue it's the most exciting it's ever been right now... When you look at sheer depth of talent and youth and the passing of the torch from the old to the young in the division, it's actually the most exciting the division's ever been.

He added:

"You've got Shavkat, you've got Jack, you've got me, you've got [Carlos] Prates, you've got [Michael] Morales. You've got loads of us that are just young and hungry and have stuff to prove, and that's exciting."
