The controversial social media celebrity Andrew Tate was born in Washington DC on December 1, 1986. Tate spent most of his early childhood in Chicago, Illinois, and Goshen, Indiana. His parents broke up after his father, Emory Tate, left the Air Force. His mother, Eileen, then relocated back to her hometown in England and took Andrew and his brother Tristan with her.

According to a report by GLAMOUR, Tate moved to the UK when he was 11 years old. He was raised in an estate in Luton and stayed there all the way up to his twenties. He and his brother reportedly shifted to Romania after he was allegedly charged with 11 counts of sexual assault.

Andrew Tate is currently one of the most controversial figures in the world. The 36-year-old saw a meteoric rise in popularity in 2022 when much of his controversial social media content garnered high engagement. Posing as somewhat of a self-help guru, much of Tate's content revolves around him spewing advice to young men on how to be successful in life and break away from the mold. However, he is infamous for his many controversial and misogynistic remarks and beliefs, which have had him banned from various social media platforms.

He is also a former world champion kickboxer, having held the ISKA World Championship in two weight divisions.
