"It was the craziest fight" - Jonathan Haggerty looks back on epic Superlek-Rodtang scrap at ONE Friday Fights 34

Jonathan Haggerty has been in some incredible and iconic fights during his time in ONE Championship. For everything that 'The General' has accomplished in recent years, last year saw one specific fight set a whole new bar.

Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Superlek Kiatmoo9 are two of the very best strikers in the world. For many years, this was a dream clash between two world-class Thai competitors that kept getting away from the fans.

Having faced both men in the past, Haggerty had high expectations for this fight, and it completely delivered as expected once it finally happened.

At ONE Friday Fights 34 in September last year, they put on an instant classic where 'The Kicking Machine' emerged victorious at the end of three rounds.

Jonathan Haggerty reflected on his experience of watching this fight up close and personal during his recent appearance on the Winners Talking Podcast, saying:

"Man, I was ringside for that, man. To see that fight, it was the craziest fight I've been to. Honestly, it was mad. I'd advise you to go to watch ONE Championship fights. Go to the Lumpinee Stadium, it's like a football stadium, and the fans proper get behind you. That was one of the best shows I've ever been to."

Jonathan Haggerty looks to bounce back like Rodtang

Both Jonathan Haggerty and his former rival Rodtang Jitmuangnon have suffered losses to Superlek in recent times.

However, there is no shame in losing to a competitor that many believe to be the very best in the world right now.

Haggerty's comeback trail has already begun following his setback at ONE 168: Denver this past September.

'The General' is set to return in the main event of ONE 171 on Feb. 20 in Qatar. That evening inside the Lusail Sports Arena, he will put his ONE bantamweight kickboxing world championship on the line against top Chinese talent 'Demon Blade' Wei Rui.
