The one-night UFC BMF tournament concept is really catching fire in the internet lately, and Dillon Danis just threw his name in the hat - much to the disapproval of the MMA community. Despite the fact that he's only had two MMA fights in his career without a single win since 2019, the Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt is quite confident in competing in this proposed tournament.
ESPN MMA posted a photo of a proposed 8-man BMF tournament bracket with some real heavy-hitters: Dustin Poirier, Charles Oliveira, Michael Chandler, Justin Gaethje, Nate Diaz, Alexander Volkanovski, Max Holloway, and Dan Hooker.

Fans were not having it, with @sean.ofaolain saying:
"@dillondanis it's for fighters not keyboard warriors"
Meanwhile, @yvn.benji said:
"@dillondanis a BMF isn’t someone who got beat by security guard and a youtube guy that does WWE"

Dillon Danis accuses former BMF champ Jorge Masvidal, amongst many fighters, for declining fights with him
More on the Dillon Danis show, the former IBJJF brown belt gold medalist recently made a tweet accusing several former UFC fighters, including BMF pioneer Jorge Masvidal, of declining fights with him.
Danis tweeted on X:
"So far, Nate Diaz, Darren Till, Jorge Masvidal, Mike Perry, and Anthony Pettis have all declined MMA fights with me, opting instead for boxing matches or rule sets that put me at a disadvantage. I’m sick of this; I just want to fight and am actively pursuing the best opponents outside the UFC to show the world what I’m capable of. Everyone is literally scared to fight me in MMA — any promoter or promotion can confirm it."
Once again, fans weren't having it, with a viral reaction from @lilSteppppa stating a harsh truth:
"Literally no promoter in the world is going to confirm that lil bro."
Danis was last seen in action last year in a losing effort in a boxing match against YouTuber-turned-boxer-turned-WWE-star Logan Paul. Danis was disqualified after attempting a guillotine choke in a boxing match and then trying to fight after the bell. Prior to getting DQ'd, the American grappler was getting dominated, barely connecting with any punch across six rounds.
