Even Muay Thai legend Sam-A Gaiyanghadao couldn't hide his excitement for the do-over between arguably two of the most majestic strikers on the planet.
The former ONE strawweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion urged fans of the striking arts not to miss the stacked ONE 170 megaevent, headlined by the rematch between Tawanchai PK Saenchai and Superbon.
This five-round strike fest for the featherweight Muay Thai world championship will take place in the promotion's return to Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand on Jan. 24.
Sam-A was among those mesmerized by the first duel between his two compatriots at ONE Friday Fights 46 last year.
Tawanchai and Superbon displayed the beauty and chaos of 'The Art of Eight Limbs' at the highest levels in their epic clash that went the full 15 minutes.
In the end, the reigning featherweight Muay Thai kingpin retained his crown by the narrowest of margins via majority decision.
In a Sportskeeda MMA exclusive, Sam-A explained why this rematch will likely top the madness of the first match:
"This is another match that I follow. I think it will be more exciting than the first fight. Because Superbon just won a Muay Thai match against Jo Nattawut, which gives him more confidence in Muay Thai. While Tawanchai is already a good all-around fighter."
Sam-A predicts the victor of Tawanchai vs. Superbon II
Tawanchai and Superbon's Muay Thai war in four-ounce gloves was so exhilarating that a second meeting was inevitable.
Both warriors won their respective matches since and it's about time that the best 155-pound strikers in the world once again share the ring.
While Sam-A expects these two incredible tacticians to figure in another razor-close chess match, he believes the outcome will likely be the same as before:
"I still think Tawanchai will win this match but not that easily," the 41-year-old veteran told Sportskeeda MMA.
