ONE bantamweight contender Jeremy Pacatiw believes that John Lineker’s biggest asset is his ability to put himself in the line of fire and keep walking forward.

The former world champion has accomplished a lot in his career with his marauding fighting style. ‘Hands of Stone’ will relentlessly walk his opponents down, taking their best shots and responding with his own huge power punches that not many can compete with.

At ONE on Prime Video 3, John Lineker met Fabricio Andrade for the first time and was unable to implement his signature style. Andrade’s movement, range and speed stopped Lineker from bullying him around the circle.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Jeremy Pacatiw said that Lineker’s toughness is what makes him so dangerous, a factor that will likely play a big part in his rematch with Andrade.

Pacatiw said:

“John Lineker’s biggest attribute is his toughness. He’s able to walk through a lot of shots and doesn’t care if he gets hit, as long as he’s able to land those wild hooks and make his opponents feel his power.”

Ahead of ONE Fight Night 7 on February 24, a lot of the questions surround how John Lineker will adjust to Fabricio Andrade the second time around after being largely shut down in their first fight.

ONE bantamweight contender Jeremy Pacatiw knows all too well about the dangers that Fabricio Andrade presents.

In February 2022 at ONE: Full Circle, Andrade and Pacatiw faced-off in a clash between two of the top bantamweights in the division. The fight was ended by Andrade in the opening round with his signature strike, a step-in knee to the body that instantly sent Pacatiw reeling to the floor.

Ahead of his rematch with John Lineker, ONE Championship posted one of Andrade’s best moments inside the circle on Instagram. Relive his highlight-reel knee below:

"Fight-ending 😵 Will Fabricio Andrade pull off another incredible counter when he rematches John Lineker for the vacant ONE Bantamweight World Title on February 24 at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video? 🏆 @fabricioandrade1"

Andrade connected with the exact same strike that he stopped Jeremy Pacatiw with in his first fight with John Lineker, forcing the world champion to back up in pain.

As ‘Wonder Boy’ looked to finish his opponent and claim the vacant bantamweight world championship, he landed an unintentional low blow that caused a sudden and disappointing end to the fight.

After threatening his opponent with that strike, he proved how devastating it could be. Now, Lineker knows that it can hurt him.

Going into their rematch at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video, both men will be well aware of how much that one strike could change the course of the fight.

ONE Fight Night 7 is live and free in North America via Prime Video.
