Team Lakay fighter Jeremy Pacatiw sees the rematch between Brazilians Fabricio Andrade and John Lineker for the vacant ONE bantamweight world title this month as difficult to predict. However, he thinks the former will pull off the win.

Pacatiw was asked by The MMA Superfan for his take on the headlining match at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video, booked for February 24. 'The Juggernaut' noted that considering how Andrade controlled the first match with Lineker last October, it is hard not to like his chances.

Jeremy Pacatiw said:

“It’s really hard to predict, but I think I’ll go with Fabricio. We saw how he fought in the first fight, he truly outclassed Lineker there, but we really don’t know for this one. I just feel that Andrade will get the win.”

In their first encounter for the bantamweight gold on October 21 at ONE on Prime Video 3, 'Wonder Boy' Andrade puzzled and battered 'Hands of Stone' Lineker with his activity and timely striking.

He was seemingly on his way to being crowned world champion until the contest took an unexpected turn that sent it to an abrupt end. As Andrade was trying to go for a finish, he accidentally struck Lineker with a knee to the groin late in the third round. The veteran fighter was given five minutes to recover but was deemed unable to continue, rendering the fight a no contest.

The two top bantamweight fighters will settle the score once and for all at ONE Fight Night 7 in Bangkok.

Jeremy Pacatiw will be a keen observer of the main event fight as he could be up for a title shot against the eventual winner down the line.

ONE Fight Night 7 will be aired live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.

Jeremy Pacatiw says John Lineker should avoid rushing against Fabricio Andrade

Jeremy Pacatiw does not doubt the punching power of John Lineker. However, he believes the former world champion will help his cause in his title fight later this month by exercising patience.

Analyzing the main event of ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video on February 24, the Team Lakay fighter said it would do Lineker good if he avoided rushing things against Fabricio Andrade in their all-Brazilian rematch for the vacant ONE bantamweight world title.

In the same interview, 'The Juggernaut' pointed out what happened in the first world title fight between the top fighters in the division last October. Unsurprisingly, he advised Lineker to avoid making the same mistakes.

Jeremy Pacatiw said:

“Yeah, I think that’s what happened. Lineker was too eager to land that one-hit knockout and that eagerness proved to be bad for him. He was too focused on connecting a big punch and thinking ‘I want to knock him out’ that he forgot his game plan. Sometimes when you rush things, it makes you vulnerable to your opponent’s punches.”

The first encounter was ruled a no contest after Lineker absorbed an accidental knee to the groin in the third round and was unable to to continue. With that, the stage is set for the rematch later this month.

Jeremy Pacatiw also competes in the ONE bantamweight division. He joined the promotion in 2021 and is coming off a second-round submission victory in his last fight.
