Joe Rogan had his mind blown by the famous conservationist and television personality Forrest Galante on a recent episode of the 55-year-old comedian's wildly popular podcast called The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE).

On episode #1927 of the JRE podcast, Rogan and Galante discussed various topics related to wildlife biology and conservation. During their conversation, Galante narrated an incredible story about a certain company's efforts at reviving the wooly mammoth and other Pleistocene-era creatures.

The famous conservationist told Rogan about Colossal Biosciences, a company that aims to "de-extinct" the wooly mammoth and other megafauna using DNA cloning. While stating that Colossal will use DNA from Indian elephants to combine with existing mammoth DNA, Galante said:

"The science is there, like, it's done... It's real-life Jurrassic Park with purpose... The first one they're working on is the wooly mammoth and this has real important conservation implications. They are planning on starting with a hundred mammoths and putting them in a park in Siberia as an experiment..."

As Galante elaborated on the genetic sciences needed to execute such a feat, Joe Rogan expressed his wonder, claiming:

"You can get your cat cloned, or your dog cloned...It's kinda creepy."

Joe Rogan discusses giant anacondas that live in the rainforest

In the same aforementioned episode, Joe Rogan and Forrest Galante talked about the possibility of giant anacondas living in biologically unexplored regions of some of the largest tropical rainforests like the Amazon or Central Africa.

On episode #1927 of the JRE podcast, Galante described to Rogan his personal belief regarding the existence of supersized snakes and narrated a story about the sighting of a giant snake in the Congo during World War II. He continued:

"There's quite a lot of 20-foot snakes out there and there's a couple 21-22 [feet long] but thats it. So there's all these rumors of 30-foot and 40-foot snakes but nothing that's been verified, outside of one skin I believe. I want to say from Indonesia... I do believe that there are some mega-fauna out there that are yet to be found."

Rogan and Galante further discussed the possibility of such large creatures remaining incognito in the wilderness and the chances of coming across them someday.
