PFL chairman Donn Davis has proposed the idea of matching up Francis Ngannou and UFC's Jon Jones in a "winner takes all" bout.
Ngannou held the UFC heavyweight championship from 2021-2022. However, he had a fallout with the promotion and was stripped of his title. He later left the UFC and signed a multi-fight deal with the PFL in 2023. After his departure, Jones made his return to the octagon after a lengthy layoff and secured a first-round submission victory over Ciryl Gane to claim the heavyweight strap.
'Bones' is expected to unify the heavyweight titles against Tom Aspinall, but there has been no official confirmation yet about when the fight will materialize. Jones recently shared a post on X, where he expressed interest in fighting 'The Predator.' Ngannou responded by acknowledging Jones and hinted at a future clash between the two.
Davis took to X to make the super fight proposal and wrote that this potential clash would determine who is the greatest heavyweight of all time in MMA.

"Proposal... Winner takes all. Best MMA heavyweight of all time 👑. [If] Francis wins, @PFLMMA split 100% of the event profits. If Jon wins, @UFC and Jon split 100% of the event profits."

UFC head honcho Dana White seemed dismissive of the idea when he was interviewed at the UFC 316 post-fight presser. He remains adamant that Aspinall is next in line to fight Jones, and he also said that he is not interested in offering a new contract to 'The Predator' who left the promotion on bad terms.
