Ovince Saint Preux's bad luck with UFC 282 opponents

Ovince Saint Preux was originally scheduled to face Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 282. However, the Swedish contender had to pull out of the bout due to undisclosed reasons in mid-November and was replaced by Philipe Lins.

Lins ended up pulling out of the bout with Saint Preux in the last week of November, for undisclosed reasons. He was subsequently replaced by Antonio Trócoli, however, Trócoli had to pull out of the bout citing visa issues.

'OSP' isn't the only fighter on the UFC 282 roster who has had to face such a situation. Glover Teixeira had to forego a title shot after the then champion Jiří Procházka pulled out of their scheduled main event bout citing a shoulder injury and relinquishing his title.

Wrestling phenom Bo Nickal was supposed to face off against Jamie Pickett but pulled out of the fight citing injury. They will face each other next year at UFC 285.

Santiago Ponzinibbio was supposed to Robbie Lawler on the pay-per-view card, however, the latter had to pull out of the bout citing injury. Lawler was replaced by Alex Morono and the bout will take place at a catchweight bout of 180 pounds.

With Texeira and Procházka out of the main event, Jan Blachowicz and Magomed Ankalaev will compete for the vacant light heavyweight title.
