James Krause has had his corner license suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) due to fight-fixing allegations. The UFC followed up by announcing that fighters associated with Krause, or his gym, Glory MMA & Fitness, would no longer be allowed to participate in UFC events. On the Weighing In podcast, Josh Thomson and 'Big' John McCarthy shared their thoughts on the direction that the situation is headed in.

McCarthy gave his input by comparing it to insider trading:

"What people don't realize is that there's elements to this that are actually considered - it goes under the RICO act. It's racketeering... It's like insider trading... There's elements of fraud that are part of this. There are legal elements here that James Krause could end up in a position where he is functionally fighting for his freedom. This is not a small time thing, this is huge."

Thomson added that anyone and everyone involved in this scandal will eventually be found out:

"They're not just taking what he said on that type of stuff, they've gone in and confiscated his iPads, his computers, his cell phones, his records and then if you are someone like [Darrick] Minner, they're doing the same thing to you... It's going to trickle down... It's going to be a matter of time before everyone starts turning each other in. This is gonna get nasty."

As Thomson and McCarthy pointed out, Krause's troubles have just begun. While getting his corner license suspended and not being allowed to coach UFC events is tough, it is nothing in comparison to what will come if Krause is found guilty of the allegations laid against him.

Deiveson Figuiredo calls out Brandon Moreno over James Krause support

Brandon Moreno is the most well-known fighter that will be affected by James Krause's UFC ban. The interim flyweight champion took to Instagram to voice his support for Krause following the UFC's announcement.

His rival, Deiveson Figueiredo, took to Twitter to call Moreno out for supporting the embattled coach. The flyweight champion stated:

"What a cute couple! A traitor working with a man who fixes fights. Ain’t no fixing this fight so tell your Ex-coach to bet the house because I’m knocking your traitor ass out! @Assassinbaby"

Brandon Moreno and Deiveson Figueiredo will fight for the flyweight title for the fourth time at UFC 283, marking the first tetralogy fight in the history of the promotion. Moreno will likely be forced to enter the matchup without James Krause in his corner, as the issue is unlikely to be resolved by then.
