KSI's proposed boxing match against Dillon Danis was in jeopardy of falling apart due to a clause in the contract between the fighters, but according to the YouTuber's manager, that condition has now been removed.

Olajide Olatunji aka JJ is arguably the second biggest name in the influencer boxing scene after Jake Paul, but he is determined to gain experience inside the ring and fight the American in the future. The Brit's first-ever professional bout in the squared circle came against Logan Paul in a clash he won by split decision.

In a post on social media, KSI's manager responded to Dillon Danis' comments and claimed there is "nowhere to run" for the MMA prospect as they have now removed the initial clause from the contract.

"Ok, how’s this…even though you signed and agreed to the contract 2 months ago…. We will take out the rehydration clause entirely so you have no excuses left to back out now. Nowhere to run. Dillon Danis. Let’s run it!"

KSI has been at odds with Danis for a number of years and will finally get to settle his differences with the jiu-jitsu wizard when they meet in the ring on January 14, 2023. The pair are set to headline the MF & DAZN X Series 4 event, with a number of well-known celebrities fighting on the undercard.

This will be the first time the BJJ Black Belt will compete in any form of combat sport since sustaining an injury two years ago. His last fight appearance was in Bellator, where he scored a first-round submission over Max Humphrey in June 2019.

KSI will be making his return to the ring for the first time since his performance at MF & DAZN X Series 1 which saw him beat both Brandon Scott and Luis Alcaraz Pineda on the same night.

Why was Dillon Danis upset with KSI's rumored fight conditions?

According to Dillon Danis, his upcoming opponent KSI attempted to add a 'rehydration clause' to the contract which would have forced 'El Jefe' to weigh no more than a specific amount on the day of the fight.

This would, of course, give a huge advantage to the Englishman who would have time to properly rehydrate and get into fighting shape, whereas the challenger would likely still be drained.

Danis discussed his clash with 'JJ' and announced that, despite the anticipated showcase, the fight may not happen due to the clause during an interview with Chael Sonnen.
