Several analysts believe Charles Oliveira's penchant for bringing chaos every time he walks into the octagon could backfire against a sharp striker like Ilia Topuria.
As Oliveira gears up for his UFC 317 title showdown with Topuria, questions are mounting whether his trademark aggression will hold up against the undefeated Spanish-Georgian. Oliveira put together the fourth-longest win streak in UFC lightweight division history (11 wins), through forward pressure, submissions, and wild firefights.
However, against someone like Topuria, that margin for error might prove costly. Former UFC middleweight champion and Fight Night analyst Michael Bisping pointed out "a cause for concern" while previewing the upcoming clash on his YouTube channel. He said:
"Charles 'Do Bronx' Oliveira is an exciting fighter. He is one of the best in the division and one of the most exciting, but it's the exciting style that he has that will give me cause for concern if I was coaching Charles 'Do Bronx' Oliveira. The way that he walks forward like a buzzsaw with reckless abandon, the not giving a damn attitude, it's beautiful to watch. It's very, very entertaining. Nobody will be booing when Charles Oliveira fights, but it's that reckless style that might get him clipped." [H/t: MMA Junkie]

He added:
"Ilia Topuria, on the flip side, he's clean. He's composed, calm, he's in the moment... He's looking for openings, and then he explodes, and when he explodes, we know he's got big power. He might explode the chin of Charles Oliveira, whereas Charles Oliveira, on the flip side with the Chute Boxe style, he's walking forward, the head's on a straight line, and the chin's a little up. He's throwing knees, he's throwing elbows, he's throwing everything but the kitchen sink. We absolutely love it, but that's got him in trouble before."

Ilia Topuria predicts a first-round knockout against Charles Oliveira at UFC 317
Ilia Topuria believes Charles Oliveira’s style plays directly to his advantage and expects to finish him in the first round. Topuria has questioned Oliveira’s mobility and believes the Brazilian’s forward pressure will leave him wide open.
With the vacant lightweight title on the line during International Fight Week, Topuria is confident his power and precision will be too much for the Brazilian to handle. Previewing the fight in an interview with ESPN Deportes, Topuria said:
"Charles is a great fighter. I'd say he's a legendary fighter, one of the few still active in the UFC. But the truth is that his style fits perfectly with mine, to put him to sleep in the first round because he has no mobility, he doesn't move."
