Conor McGregor is making his return to the octagon for the first time since suffering a broken leg two years ago, but Michael Bisping believes the megastar's fairytale comeback could be spoiled by his opponent.

'The Notorious' is currently enduring the worst run of form he has ever seen throughout his 28-fight career in the sport. The Irishman has won just one of his following four bouts and is desperate to prove to the doubters that he is still able to hang with the very best.

While discussing the upcoming clash between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler, former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping insisted that ring rust could play a huge role in the outcome of this blockbuster fight, saying:

"[I think] Chandler. Just simply inactivity from Conor. The performances haven't been what they used to be, he broke his leg last time out. He's enjoying the fruits of his labor and rightly so. He's achieved wild success, so why shouldn't he enjoy that? But that isn't always conducive to a great fighting career. Michael Chandler is an athlete first. He is training every single day. So yeah, I'm gonna give him the edge but you can never discount Conor. The man can crack and Chandler does get hit."

The Ultimate Fighter 31: How has Conor McGregor fared as a coach thus far?

The Ultimate Fighter 31 is fast approaching and many fans are eager to see just how well Conor McGregor will adapt to the coaching side of things, but news that surfaced proves he has been dedicated to his team throughout.

While it was unfortunate for those that were removed from the TUF house, knowing the former two-division world champion brought in fighters of his own is enough to suggest he is determined to be successful in his coaching pursuits.

With news surfacing that controversy between the two coaches has ensued, the fact that the Dublin native has brought in Stephen Thompson to help with sessions and his hands-on approach are all likely good signs for his fans.
