Multi-time BJJ world champion Tammi Musumeci, sister of ONE flyweight submission grappling world champion Mikey Musumeci, will be making her ONE Championship debut at ONE Fight Night 8 this Friday.
Tammi, the older of the siblings, is a four-time IBJJF No-Gi World Champion and a two-time Pan-American Jiujitsu Champion. She is also a licensed attorney in the state of Nevada.
Ahead of ONE Fight Night 8, Mikey Musumeci posted a beautifully-written note to his sister Tammi on Instagram:
"My day 1 training partner and best friend ❤️😊 - crazy it started just with her and me in a garage, and now we are in Asia training together. So proud of the person she is; she inspires me so much. Love you (she doesn’t have an IG so I will show her this post, otherwise I’m talking to no one 🤣)"
Tammi Musumeci looks like Mikey Musumeci with long hair. She has the same unassuming look, slender physique, and friendly smile. Kidding aside, Tammi's greatness on the mats mirrors her little brother's in a near-identical way. Both Musumecis are relentless pursuers of the submission and will use a wide array of attacks to get the tap as swiftly as they can.
The two have a combined total of 9 IBJJF world titles in Gi and No-Gi competitions. Talk about greatness running in the family.

Tammi Musumeci will kick off the lead card of ONE Fight Night 8 in a submission grappling contest with fellow ONE debutant Bianca Basilio. The clash of top-level grapplers will be a battle of world champions.
Musumeci is a multi-time BJJ world champion and Pan-American champion. She found fame in the jiujitsu community when she competed in the 2016 Pan championships. Upon reaching the finals, she squared off against BJJ legend and ONE Championship fighter Michelle Nicolini. The bout was a nail-biter where Musumeci refused to tap to an armlock that eventually dislocated her arm. She then became a world champion three years later.
Tammi Musumeci's opponent, Bianca Basilio, is a World Jiujitsu champion, Pan-American champion, ADCC world champion, and 3-time Abu Dhabi World Pro champion. Catch her put on a show against the older Musumeci as they kick off ONE's third event on Prime Video this year.
