Conor McGregor recently provided a major update regarding his comeback. Additionally, he's made waves by cutting a fiery promo and slamming a beer inside the (Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship) BKFC ring. Fans soon chimed in on it, with many seemingly deeming it a sign that 'The Notorious' isn't returning to MMA competition anytime soon.
The Irishman's most recent professional combat sports contest was a lightweight MMA bout against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 (July 2021). McGregor suffered a mid-fight leg injury, lost that matchup via first-round TKO, and hasn't competed since.
McGregor attended BKFC 63 at the Buffalo Chip Campground in Sturgis, South Dakota, U.S.A., on Aug. 3, 2024. He was announced to be the co-owner of the bare-knuckle boxing organization in April 2024 and has tirelessly promoted it ever since.
'The Notorious' entered the ring and addressed the fans, hyping up the sport and the BKFC organization, besides chugging from a can of his 'Forged Irish Stout' brand inside the ring. Conor McGregor stated:
"What's more bada** than bare-knuckle and American rock-and-roll? Nothing, baby, that's what ... Look at the fights we've just had. Look at the fights still to come ... Look out into the crowd. This is the baddest plot of land in all of the USA today, and I had to come for the taste. Thank you all so much for your support. I hope you're having a great night here at the 'Bare Knuckle Fighting.' And yeah, take off the gloves and fight bi*ch. There's nothing like bare knuckle."

Intriguingly, Conor McGregor recently updated fans that he's likely to return in Dec. 2024. Multiple netizens indicated that McGregor's never fighting again and that he's unlikely to face Michael Chandler. An X user alluded to Chandler's inactivity since Nov. 2022 which is largely attributed to his pursuit of the McGregor matchup:
"Yea chandler wasted 2yrs of a call out for this my GOAT cooked."
One commenter opined that Conor McGregor's not fighting in 2024, whereas another implied that the veteran fighter looks as though he's been through a lot lately. A fan lightheartedly speculated that Chandler's wiping his tears, as his expected big-money fight against McGregor probably won't happen.
An X user opined that McGregor's not a "proper fighter" anymore, while another wrote:
"He ain't fighting in December"

Conor McGregor eyeing UFC comeback in December 2024

Last month (July 2024), Chisanga Malata asked McGregor whether he could return on Dec. 14, 2024, the date on which UFC 310 is expected to take place. 'The Notorious' responded by stating:
"That sounds good to me."
