Welcome to today's edition of Sportskeeda's daily MMA News Roundup, where we present the biggest UFC updates and other stories from the world of mixed martial arts.

In today's issue, we talk about Daniel Cormier thinking it's the end of the road for a certain UFC contender, Conor McGregor potentially losing millions of followers on Twitter, and more.

#3. Daniel Cormier believes it may be time for Dominick Reyes to retire from UFC

Daniel Cormier believes it may be time for Dominick Reyes to hang up his gloves.

This comes after Reyes suffered a third straight knockout loss at UFC 281. With that in mind, former UFC two-division champ Cormier thinks Reyes just might not have much left in the tank. He said on the DC & RC Show:

"Is it time for Dominick Reyes to walk away after what Ryan Spann did to him?... Because we got a guy who was super close to becoming the champion against Jon Jones, to now getting knocked out by Jiri [Prochazka] who is the champ, and Jan Blachowicz who was the champ. Now he's not fighting champions, he lost to a guy in Ryan Spann who has now won two in a row."

Reyes came extremely close to dethroning Jon Jones back in 2020. Unfortunately, he never recovered from the loss and hasn't won a single fight since.

#2. Henry Cejudo tees off on Aljamain Sterling

Henry Cejudo came after bantamweight champ Aljamain Sterling on social media.

In an attempt to discredit Sterling's championship run, Cejudo pointed out that 'Funk Master' took two rounds to beat a severely injured T.J. Dillashaw. However, Cejudo also applied some self-deprecating humor, saying Sterling is the only fighter that makes him likable:

"Aljo you are the only champ who makes me look likable. I won the Gold and you won the Oscar. The only person you ever put to sleep was the paid audience. It took you 2 rounds to finish a handicapped juicebox."

#1. Conor McGregor set to lose almost half of his followers on Twitter

Conor McGregor could lose nearly half of his followers on Twitter if new owner Elon Musk follows through with his plan of eradicating dummy accounts.

Gambling.com has run SparkToro’s fake follower audit to figure out which fighter could be most affected by Musk's crackdown.

According to the audit, McGregor stands to lose the most, with a whopping 4.1 million of his 9.6 million followers estimated to be fake. That would mean McGregor could lose 42.3% of his total following.
