Dana White has been an instrumental part of the UFC since 2001, when he was appointed president of the company.

Having been in the business for over two decades, White has seen the rise and fall of many UFC fighters. Most recently, the UFC president discussed the perceived downfall of Conor McGregor.

While being interviewed by Aaron Bronsteter of The Sports Network, White discussed his experience working with the Irishman. He explained how he grew to admire 'The Notorious' for his willingness to fight anyone, regardless of the circumstances. However, the UFC president then pointed out that the amount of money that McGregor has made over his career has certainly impacted his desire and ambition as a fighter.

"I was there every single time, never flinched, never hesitated. He'd take any fight. He believed in himself, and fought these fights when people thought he wasn't ready. And the kid made a ton of money. When you say Conor hasn't had a good run lately, that's what happens when you're his age and make over $100 million. Money changes everyting."

Dana White explained that McGregor's unique level of determination and courage was the catalyst for their close-working relationship and not the enormous amount of revenue the Irishman generated for the promotion.

Many fans thought White favored McGregor for this reason, but he may just have more respect for 'The Notorious' than for most fighters.

Dana White applauds how TJ Dillashaw handled PED episode

Dana White recently appeared on My Mom's Basement with Robbie Fox to preview the UFC 280 card that takes place this weekend.

While discussing Aljamain Sterling vs. TJ Dillashaw, Fox asked White if he believes Dillashaw will ever outgrow the PED failure. The UFC president praised 'Killashaw' for the way he handled that period of his career and said that many fighters in the past have run from similar accusations.

"I think he made a mistake and he handled it like a man. We've had a lot of guys throughout the history of this company who've been busted for steroids and handled it the exact opposite way. They handled it not like men. Dillashaw did, he took it on the chin and you've got to respect him for that."
