Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal were the top earners at UFC 244. According to SPORT BIBLE, the fighters raked in $500,000 each, excluding sponsorship income and pay-per-view points.

'Gamebred' won the fight in the third round via TKO due to a doctor's stoppage, claiming the BMF title in the process. UFC 244 is one of Masvidal's biggest paydays to date.

The 38-year-old earned a similar $500,000 payday for both his title fights against former welterweight champion Kamaru Usman.

Meanwhile, Diaz's biggest payday came in his rematch against Conor McGregor at UFC 202. According to a report by The Sports Daily, the American earned over $2 million for the fight.

Nate Diaz also grabbed a paycheck of $620,000 for his first match against the Irishman at UFC 196.

The 37-year-old officially closed out his tenure with the UFC earlier this year. In his last fight at UFC 279, Diaz clinched a fourth-round submission win against former interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson.

Meanwhile, Masvidal extended his losing streak to three fights with his most recent loss to Colby Covington at UFC 272. The former two-time title challenger currently holds a pro-MMA record of 35 wins against 16 losses.

When Jorge Masvidal said that it was smart of Nate Diaz to leave UFC before he accumulated more "brain damage"

In an interview earlier this year, UFC superstar Jorge Masvidal seemingly trolled former foe Nate Diaz by saying that it was smart of the Stockton native to leave the UFC when he did.

'Gamebred' suggested that Diaz was already showing signs of brain damage and it was smart of him to leave the "big leagues" before he got seriously hurt:

"It's good for him to leave the big leagues before he gets like serious brain damage. I think the guy is like borderline vegetable you know. His interviews, his wittiness, and sharpness has gone to like s**t. You have to wait for him. The pause gotten longer. [You] used to ask him a question it'll be like a two-second pause, it's like a 30-second pause now. He shouldn't be in the big leagues man, he's going to get hurt... Take that old a** dude somewhere else you know. "
