Landwehr disclosed that to conceive, he and his spouse decided to use IVF. Unfortunately, their unborn daughter did not survive.

“It’s just like a fight, man. You just gotta keep fighting. We had to go through IVF so they’ve got to go in, strip my wife’s eggs and fertilize them so we ended up with X amount of embryos that were viable. We had five boy embryos and one girl embryo. We tried to put the girl in a little bit ago. She attached, but she didn’t quite make it.''

''Her name was gonna be June Marie. I think about it. All the things that could have been. You start plotting and planning and then God laughs at you like, ‘I got a plan for you,’ and it just wasn’t meant to be.''

Nate Landwehr previews Doo Ho Choi clash at UFC 310

In the aforementioned interview with MiddleEasy, Nate Landwehr discussed his matchup with Doo Ho Choi at UFC 310.

Landwehr discussed his previous octagon experiences and shared his opinions on how he would approach the fight.

''I was expecting that kind of (fight) when I was fighting Dan Ige and it didn’t play out. It was a decent fight...I can accept getting knocked out by Herbert Burns, but it weighs on me. It should’ve been kill or killed in that last round (against Ige). Every fight I’ve been in has been a bonus except that fight. I’m gonna try to protect myself this time, but I’m just gonna come out guns blazing, swinging and we’re gonna see what happens.'' [8:39]
