Based on recent tweets, it's safe to say that Chael Sonnen isn't John Cena's biggest fan.

Chael Sonnen continues to take aim at Cena's Twitter posts as he doesn't believe he is actually posting to the account. He quoted one of the tweet and mentioned that there is no sign of intelligent life:

"TRAFFIC ALERT. 3 Fortune Cookie messages have crashed in the empty intersection between John Cena's ears. Responding units on scene But no signs of intelligent life detected at crash site."

In his YouTube videos, 'The American Gangster' has stressed that MMA fighters need to tell stories and sell themselves so they can generate interest from the general public. The 16-time WWE world champion has clearly done in his own right as he is known for posting inspirational quotes to motivate his fanbase.

The WWE superstar-turned-actor has yet to respond to the former UFC middleweight title challenger, but that hasn't stopped him from posting different motivational messages to his 14 million Twitter followers. It has also become an unexpected Twitter feud as 'The American Gangster' is known to be a professional wrestling fan.

Chael Sonnen had an opportunity to join WWE

It's no secret that Chael Sonnen has been a fan of professional wrestling for quite some time. He took elements from the industry, specifically the promos, as a way to generate interest in his fights.

Sonnen has also revealed that he had an opportunity to join WWE in the past, while he was actively competing in the UFC middleweight division. While speaking with Ariel Helwani in 2019, he described his discussions with the company by saying:

"I got two offers...The second one was do show and beat him (Anderson Silva), and be on RAW with the belt (UFC middleweight championship) on Monday. And that was a much bigger offer. I said, 'Why would they want that?' And he paused and he said, 'To stick it up Dana White's a**.'...I didn't tell Dana, I never did anything with it."

It would've been interesting if 'The American Gangster' were to transition to WWE like many others in combat sports. He was always entertaining when promoting his fights and is knowledgable of how the industry works.
