Bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nong-O Gaiyanghadao shared his support for teammate Superbon Singha Mawynn following his recent loss.

In back-to-back main events, the two friends and training partners put their world championships on the line. While Nong-O is set to defend his bantamweight world championship this Friday at ONE Friday Fights 1, he watched as Superbon put his own belt on the line this past weekend.

In the main event of ONE Fight Night 6, Superbon was stopped in the second round by Chingiz Allazov, who claimed the featherweight kickboxing world title and the pound-for-pound number one spot.

In an Instagram post, Nong-O promised that his friend Superbon will be back stronger than ever:

“We are team 🇹🇭🛬 he will be back soon”

After such a tough loss to Allazov, Superbon will need to step away and rebuild before jumping back inside the circle. But as one of the best strikers on the planet, it likely won’t be long before he’s back in contention for his world championship.

As for the bantamweight world champion, Nong-O Gaiyanghadao will headline ONE’s first event in a series of nights at the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Thailand. When he faces Russia’s Alaverdi Ramazanov, he will no doubt have the support of his training partner Superbon and the fans in the arena.

He told SCMP MMA:

“Nong-O, Petchtanong also go [to my gym]. He’s been preparing with me because he will also fight next week.”

He added:

"Yeah yeah, after this I’m gonna go with him to train. Usually he doesn’t train much after my fight, but I'm a little bit sad because I cannot go see him fight, because on the 18th I have to fly to New York, he has to fight on the 20th.”
