ONE Championship chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong posted on his official Facebook page that the Asian martial arts organization has signed a deal to broadcast its live events in Brazil via Globo, the largest commercial television network in Latin America.

As ONE continues to expand its global footprint, this deal with Globo is crucial to presenting ONE Championship to a wider audience.

Sityodtong wrote:

“BREAKING NEWS: ONE just got even bigger! I am thrilled to announce that Globo is the new home of ONE in Brazil! Globo is the largest commercial television network in Latin America, with a reach of more than 200 million viewers across its free-to-air, digital, and pay TV channels. It is also the leading provider of premium combat sports content in Brazil with its pay-per-view channel, Combate. With this new exclusive multiyear partnership, ONE events will be shown live in prime time in Brazil. BOOM!!!”

Sityodtong went on to mention several of ONE Championship’s biggest announcements this year, as well as a multitude of accolades. Among the key points is ONE’s game-changing deal with Amazon Prime Video Sports and its recent broadcasting deal with beIN SPORTS in the Middle East.

According to Sityodtong, Nielsen now ranks ONE among the world's top five largest sports media properties in terms of viewership and engagement.

Sityodtong continued:

“Thank you to everyone who is a part of ONE for your passion, excellence, and inspiration in pushing our dream forward together! Teamwork truly makes the dream work. It is only Day ONE of this magical adventure. Let's keep chasing our greatness together! Stay tuned for more big news soon! LET’S GOOOOO!!! #WeAreONE”

This is obviously a huge deal for ONE, especially since the promotion features a plethora of top Brazilian athletes among its ranks. This includes former ONE world champions such as Bibiano Fernandes and John Lineker, bantamweight elite Fabricio Andrade, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) legends Marcus ‘Buchecha’ Almeida and Andre Galvao, among others.

ONE Championship returns to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for ONE on Prime Video 3

ONE Championship’s ONE on Prime Video events have been nothing short of incredible so far, ever since the first one aired a couple of months ago. Now, the promotion returns to the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic with ONE on Prime Video 3: Lineker vs. Andrade.

This Friday, October 21, Brazilian stalwarts John Lineker and Fabricio Andrade will lock horns and settle their heated rivalry in the circle.

After failing to pass weight and hydration, Lineker has been stripped of the ONE bantamweight world title, and only Andrade will be eligible to win.

In two highly anticipated co-main events, ONE lightweight kickboxing world champion Regian Eersel will face Thailand’s Sinsamut Klinmee for the inaugural ONE lightweight Muay Thai world title.

Moreover, BJJ phenom Kade Ruotolo has a chance to win the inaugural ONE lightweight submission grappling world championship when he faces Sambo world champion Uali Kurzhev.
