Paddy Pimblett interviewing Dana White was a 'brown nosing' move, claims Aljamain Sterling

Aljamain Sterling gave his views on Paddy Pimblett's recent interview with UFC President Dana White.

In a recent video uploaded to Sterling's YouTube channel, 'Funk Master' reacted to Paddy Pimblett's interview with the UFC President. According to the bantamweight champ, 'The Baddy' was trying to "brown-nose" White by bashing Ariel Helwani. The UFC President has feuded with the MMA journalist in the past over fighter pay.

The 33-year-old said:

"The whole situation I think is definitely some brown-nosing for sure. I don't knock Paddy for trying to get some extra brownie points. But damn dude like get some oxygen a little bit. Like get your nose out that a** so that you can come up for some air. You need a little bit of air down there."

Sterling was last seen in the octagon against T.J. Dillashaw at UFC 280, where he defeated the former champ via a TKO at the 3:44 mark in the second round.

With this win, the 'Funkmaster' currently stands tall with 22 victories so far in his career, of which three came via knockout and eight via submission. The fighter is currently on an eight-fight win streak.

What did Paddy Pimblett and Dana White say about Ariel Helwani?

In a recent episode of Paddy Pimblett's podcast Chattin Pony, 'The Baddy' and White got together and fired shots at popular MMA journalist Ariel Helwani. The duo accused Helwani of "earning money off fighters."

The Liverpudlian said:

"Ariel Helwani in particular. Like, he loves earning money off fighters. Every decent job he's had, he's been sacked from. And now he's just a biased content creator. He hates on you [Dana White], he hates on the UFC, he even hates on me now. And, it proper annoys me, because he uses fighters for clicks. [He] uses fighters to make money, and then has the audacity to talk about the UFC and yourself, saying that you don't pay the fighters enough."

Pimblett went on to refer to Helwani as a "rodent" and accused him of using UFC fighters to make a lot of money for himself. He went on to suggest that Helwani should pay them for interviews.
