Donn Davis recently released an update on the audience metrics for PFL: Battle of the Giants, which was headlined by Renan Ferreira vs. Francis Ngannou, celebrating it as a big win for the promotion. In the main event, Ngannou made a statement in his promotional debut, earning a first-round knockout win over Ferreira to capture the heavyweight Super Fights championship.
Ngannou was competing in MMA for the first time since UFC 270 and retained his heavyweight championship against Ciryl Gane. There was plenty of intrigue for the fight against Ferreira due to his most recent knockout loss against Anthony Joshua and whether he could take the Brazilian's power. 'The Predator' answered all the questions as he proved that he should still be considered in the conversation for being the top heavyweight in MMA.
Davis took to his X account and appreciated the PFL fanbase for supporting their product. He mentioned that Battle of the Giants was an incredible success and released some very positive metrics from the event including social media engagement, traction, and media stories:
"Rare in sports for excellence on global scale - we did it with PFL Super Fight: Battle of the Giants. Massive worldwide audience metrics. Thanks @PFLMMA fans!"
