ONE heavyweight world champion Arjan Bhullar weighed in with his thoughts on Friday night's main event. At ONE on Prime Video 3, bantamweight world champion John Lineker will defend his title against the surging Fabricio ‘Wonder Boy’ Andrade.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Arjan Bhullar gave his assessment of the upcoming meeting between two of ONE’s most dangerous finishers:

“Lineker relies on his power to get his opponents out of there. When he lands clean, it’s a problem. I’m picking Lineker, but Andrade has a real chance. Power doesn’t mean anything if [Andrade] can neutralize the delivery system.”

Avoiding John ‘Hands of Stone’ Lineker’s frightening power is no easy task. Just ask the 17 fighters whom he has knocked out in the past.

Andrade’s finishing prowess is no joke either, though. He’s stopped his last three opponents in the first round. However, champion Lineker is undoubtedly a step-up in competition.

Arjan Bhullar, meanwhile, was scheduled to return to the circle and unify the ONE heavyweight belts just several weeks ago. He was forced to pull out due to an injury that required surgery.

Fabricio Andrade doesn’t believe Arjan Bhullar wants to fight Anatoly Malykhin

Though he has the biggest fight of his career to date coming up at ONE on Prime Video 3, Fabricio Andrade has taken the week in his stride.

After his three consecutive first-round finishes, Andrade left no doubt that he was next in line for a shot at John Lineker’s bantamweight title.

Whilst talking about his own trajectory towards the belt, Fabricio Andrade commented on the long-awaited title unification fight between heavyweights Arjan Bhullar and Anatoly Malykhin.

In an interview with SCMP MMA, Andrade suggested that ONE stop waiting for Bhullar and find a new opponent for Malykhin, who he has trained alongside at Tiger Muay Thai:

"I think there are a lot of options that they could work with. The Reinier [de Ridder] fight, I think that would be very entertaining for everyone if it happens, either in heavyweight or light heavyweight. Maybe Anatoly would be up to go down to light heavyweight to face him. I think that would be very interesting. So I think there’s a lot of options, I’m not really sure what is going on with him right now or what ONE Championship has planned for him, but I do think they have options to work with right now."

In regards to Bhullar, Fabricio Andrade said:

"I think just Bhullar has been the biggest problem in this division. They have slowed down everybody and made the division stop. So that’s why I think the smartest thing to do is to let the guy be. If he doesn’t want to fight, then [let him] do what he wants to do. I don’t know what he wants to do, but clearly, he doesn’t want to fight."
