Dana White's slap league, Power Slap, has been re-added to the TBS schedule for January 18. The league's status on the network was in doubt after the premiere was removed from the internal schedule for January 11.

White's slap league will now debut one week later than originally planned, which is a sigh of relief for him. The network's parent company could have decided to cut ties with the league before it began after a video of the UFC president slapping his wife at a nightclub on New Year's Eve was released online.

TSN MMA reporter Aaron Bronsteter reported the news on Twitter, writing:

"Power Slap has been re-added to the TBS.com schedule on Jan. 18 and the show's page now hosts content"

Bronsteter also mentioned that TBS is yet to provide a reason for the delayed debut, writing:

"TBS have yet to comment on why the show was delayed a week or regarding the incident involving Dana White (they confirmed to @AndrewMarchand it had been delayed)"

Power Slap will air in the 10pm timeslot on Wednesday nights beginning on January 18. The league airs immediately following AEW Dynamite!, which has done well in TV ratings for the network and they will hope that the new slap league will be equally successful.

Sean O'Malley believes Power Slap creator Dana White was justified for slapping his wife

Sean O'Malley made some controversial remarks on episode #91 of his BroMalley show as he said that he believes Dana White was justified for slapping his wife during their incident on New Year's Eve.

O'Malley noted that White's apology came off as being genuine. He mentioned that the UFC president and his wife were both under the influence of alcohol, saying:

"I would assume sober, no drinks, she slaps him, I don't think his initial reaction is to slap back. When that alcohol's flowing, I've never hit a girl but I've been blacked out and I've done things that I can't believe I've done..."
"I don't think it was right. Obviously, you should not hit, especially a little girl like that. But alcohol is flowing, and she hit him first." {10:49 - 11:19}
