Professional Fighters League (PFL) fighter Sammy-Jo Luxton recently shared her thoughts on the Power Slap League no longer being featured on prominent TV network TBS. The slap league received poor ratings throughout the eight-episode season, with the finale being awarded a rating of 0.05.

Luxton believes that UFC president Dana White missed a trick by investing his efforts into promoting a slap league. The newly-signed PFL fighter thinks that White would have found more success in his new project had he chosen to organize Muay Thai fights with 4oz gloves instead of the standard 10oz gloves.

Asian promotion ONE Championship has begun showcasing Muay Thai events with 4oz gloves, with the bouts taking place in an MMA cage.

Luxton took to Twitter to share her thoughts on the Power Slap League, and said this:

"Realistically he should have invested into 4oz Muay Thai 3X3min rounds limited clinch… just pure dangerous striking with naughty KOs which never get boring"

Sammy-Jo Luxton began Muay Thai at a young age, holding an amateur record of 45-4. The British native made her professional debut in 2015, and is currently 3-0.

Last month, the rising star signed with the Professional Fighters League and stated that she hopes to make her MMA debut later this year:

"Best kept secret - I’ve signed to PFL! I’ve made the switch to MMA and I have been grinding away at @McrTopTeam - I will be making my debut in the smartcage later this year. Can’t wait to show the world what I’m made of."

Francis Ngannou reveals he may be signing with the PFL

Francis Ngannou's time in free agency may be coming to an end, as 'The Predator' recently revealed that he is close to signing a deal with either the PFL or ONE Championship.

Ngannou still has aspirations of competing in professional boxing, with the likes of Deontay Wilder being mentioned as possible opponents. In a recent interview with Ariel Helwani, 'The Predator' stated that he will step into the squared circle before returning to MMA.

During his recent appearance on The MMA Hour, Francis Ngannou said:

"There's the PFL and ONE [Championship] that we are very close [to signing with]... When I decide you guys will know."

Francis Ngannou's departure from the UFC was a culmination of several years worth of negotiations with Dana White and the promotion's top brass. The two parties were unable to come to an agreement on a new contract, and Ngannou became a free agent.
