Sage Northcutt boasts his physique is all-natural

‘Super’ Sage Northcutt may have been away from competition for a long time, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t been working hard in the gym.

Ahead of his return after four long years away from the spotlight, 'Super' Sage appeared on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani to talk about his hiatus and his upcoming comeback at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video.

Before his break from the circle, Northcutt arrived in ONE Championship as one of the most talked about young American prospects in the sport, partly due to his superhero-esque looks.

During the interview, Helwani asked him whether he still had the abs, prompting Northcutt to flex and show off his physique:

“Oh yeah you know it!”

He added:

“I always got the abs. You can’t even imagine. I just ate the biggest chicken sandwich just now too right before hopping on. Five minutes before, chicken sandwich right downstairs. It’s like, it’s time.”

In reference to Oscar De La Hoya, who appeared on the show before Northcutt, recently undergoing surgery to amplify his own abs, Ariel Helwani asked:

“Assume those are natural, no liposuction on those abs?”

To which he replied:

“No way, no way!”

Sage Northcutt excited to get back three months out from highly anticipated return

After nearly four years away from the spotlight, ‘Super’ Sage Northcutt is chomping at the bit to step back inside the circle. In just a few months, his long-anticipated return will take place at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video.

After making his ONE Championship debut in May 2019, Northcutt’s first appearance inside the circle was cut short when he was defeated inside 30 seconds. His injuries and several other setbacks have kept him away from competition, but that all changes on May 5.

In the same interview, Northcutt spoke about his excitement to step back inside the circle:

“I’m definitely itching to get back out there. I’m super excited. It’s been a long time. I’m super excited for it, yeah three and a half months man that’s gonna be hard to wait for that’s for sure.”

Sage Northcutt’s return will take place at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video, which marks the promotion’s first ever event on US soil. Live from the 1stBank Center in Colorado, it is set to be a historic event for ONE Championship and is headlined by the trilogy fight between Demetrious Johnson and Adriano Moraes.
