Former two-sport world champion Stamp Fairtex got her wish to fight live in front of American fans as she is slated to compete in ONE Championship’s first-ever event in the United States later this year.

The promotion broke the news that the Thai superstar is to take on American fireball Alyse “Lil’ Savage” Anderson in a women’s atomweight mixed martial arts showdown at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video on May 5 in Colorado.

Stamp Fairtex expressed interest in being included in the U.S. card once the landmark event was announced as she looks to showcase her talent to a wider audience.

She told ONE Championship in an interview:

“Absolutely, I really want to fight in the U.S. I went there for seminars recently and I found out that I had a lot of fans there. I hope someday I will be able to compete in front of the American fans…”

Stamp Fairtex is coming off a split decision victory over fellow Thai fighter “Supergirl” Anna Jaroonsak in a strawweight kickboxing clash at ONE Fight Night 6 on January 13 in Bangkok, where she also earned a $50,000 performance bonus.

Anderson, for her part, won her previous fight in ONE, defeating Indian-Nepalese warrior Asha Roka by submission (triangle choke) in the opening round at ONE 157 last May.

ONE Fight Night 10 is headlined by the trilogy fight between reigning ONE Flyweight World Champion Demetrious Johnson and rival Adriano Moraes.

Stamp Fairtex is "excited about fighting" in Thailand again

Apart from winning and earning a performance bonus in her recent fight, Stamp Fairtex had a grand time at ONE Fight Night 6 on January 13 as she got to fight anew in front of Thai fans.

The former two-sport world champion spent the past few years fighting in different parts of Asia and recently touring the United States for Muay Thai seminars, and was excited to be back in Thailand competing.

Stamp Fairtex said in an interview with SCMP MMA in the lead-up to ONE Fight Night 6:

"I’m good and excited about fighting. I am very excited because my parents can be there and my friends from camp can be there too, and also the fans in Thailand can be there to support me."
