β€˜Super’ Sage Northcutt typically knows what he’s getting himself into when he enters the cage. However, not so much when it comes to trying out new food.

As ONE Championship events regularly take place in Asian countries like Thailand and Singapore, foreign athletes are bound to try new delicacies.

Since great food brings out great experiences, Sage Northcutt recently shared the most interesting dish he ate while in Asia to MMA anchor Karyn Bryant and American personality Renato Laranja, on their popular podcast, Festivities with KB & Renato Laranja.

He said:

β€œMan, I had…it actually didn’t taste bad. It was like jellyfish. And I thought it’d be crazy soft, and like when you see a jellyfish in the ocean and you’re like β€˜it looks soft and squishy’. It was crispy which was weird. Crispy and crunchy. It didn’t really have much flavor, but I had that.”

Fortunately for the fans, there will be more stories and experiences to tell when β€˜Super’ Sage returns to fight again in Asia.

The American superstar has come out of the woodwork - after a four-year hiatus - to position himself back in the running for the ONE lightweight world title.

On May 5, he returned to life with a well-executed submission finish over Pakastani powerhitter Ahmed Mujtaba in ONE Championship’s first U.S. event in Colorado.

As a result of his quick victory, he will potentially fight against Japanese veteran and former ONE lightweight world champion Shinya Aoki for a spot in the top 5.

Fans can watch Sage Northcutt vs. Ahmed Mujtaba, as well as the entire ONE Fight Night 10 card, in full replay for free via Amazon Prime in North America.
