Sean O'Malley recently revealed why he decided to change his walkout song for his UFC 316 fight, where he was scheduled to rematch Merab Dvalishvili for the bantamweight championship.
Usually, O'Malley uses the song Superstar by Lupe Fiasco during fight walkouts, but for UFC 316, he went with God Bless the USA. According to 'Suga', he thought it was fitting to go with that song since President Donald Trump was present at the arena for the event.
Speaking at an interview on The Ariel Helwani Show, O'Malley said:
"I don't know. I just randomly kind of wanted to switch it up, and then I had that song in mind, and then they said Trump's going to be there. I was like, 'Man, all these signs, these are all great signs for me to win. Didn't happen. But, still, the walkout was, you know, that was cool, it was a cool memory. That was bada**."
