Sean O'Malley has become one of the biggest stars in the UFC. The No.1-ranked bantamweight recently opened up about a conversation he had with UFC President Dana White regarding his upcoming Power Slap promotion.

Speaking on his podcast, TimboSugarShow, O'Malley stated:

"Dana's a different person, like he's just a different breed of human. No camera's around. He's literally a modern day gangster but he's doing legal s**t. He was just getting fired up - that power slap, to me, I'm like that s**t's the dumbest s**t ever."

O'Malley continued:

"No cameras in there, he wasn't trying to sell it to me...saying he's getting the same emotions he's getting from when he first started building UFC. He's getting the same hate from people when he was first starting to promote the UFC. People like this is barbaric, this is f**ked up. Why would people do this? He's just a gangster to be around."

Power Slap will air on TBS beginning in January 2023. A coin toss will determine which competitor gets to slap first, while competitors will have 30 seconds to slap and 30 seconds to recover. The weight classes and rounds will be consistent with mixed martial arts, while there will also be a 10-point scoring system.

Sean O'Malley believes the UFC may be targeting Henry Cejudo vs. Aljamain Sterling

Sean O'Malley appeared to be next in line for a shot at the bantamweight title following his UFC 280 victory over Petr Yan. Instead, the No.1-ranked bantamweight believes that the UFC may be looking to book Henry Cejudo as Aljamain Sterling's next title defence.

Speaking on his podcast, TimboSugarShow, O'Malley stated:

"Aljo's saying he wants to fight me because I've earned it... He's saying 'Oh, Henry doesn't deserve it.' Henry's a two-time world champion. As much as he is a f**king dork, he deserves a title shot if he wants to come back. So I think they kind of want to make Henry vs. Aljo early next year, I'll fight the winner later."

UFC President Dana White had previously claimed the winner of the UFC 280 bout between O'Malley and Yan would receive the next title shot. With Cejudo in the mix, a former double-champ set to return from retirement, those plans may have changed.
