UFC middleweight contender Sean Strickland is not a big fan of his nickname 'The Tarzan'.

In an interview with 'The Schmo' last year, Strickland shared his thoughts on the moniker and revealed that he was not too fond of it. The 32-year-old added that he would have liked 'Hate' to be his nickname, but the word had some negative connotations. So, he dropped the idea.

“I don’t know, man. It doesn’t fit me, ya know? I’ve always liked ‘Hate’ but then again that has some bad connotations but I feel like it suits me. I’m kind of an angry motherf*cker,” said Sean Strickland.

Sean Strickland shares his thoughts on Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic

A scroll through Sean Strickland's Twitter account would be enough to tell you that 'The Tarzan' is not a big fan of Jon Jones.

On multiple occasions, Strickland has made insulting statements against Jones on social media and has criticized the newly crowned heavyweight champion's past actions.

Strickland did the same in a recent interview with Helen Yee. 'The Tarzan' took a jibe at Jones' failed drug tests and his run-ins with the law. The 32-year-old hoped for Stipe Miocic to emerge victorious in a potential title fight against Jones and even offered to train with Miocic in order to defeat 'Bones'.

"Greatest fighter in the world, but Jon Jones sucks you guys. He's failed the most drug tests, he beat his wife bloody, he hit a pregnant lady and drove off... You could've been the greatest fighter, but with how many drug tests you've failed, it's not right... Stipe bro. Please, man, do it for me. Stipe, if you want to train, come here. I'll be your punching bag. We could fight every day. Whatever the f**k you need Stipe, I'm your man."
