Stamp Fairtex would like to see Muay Thai specialist Anissa Meksen step inside the circle to face either Allycia Hellen Rodrigues or Janet Todd in the near future.

On January 13, Stamp will take on seven-time Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion Anissa Meksen as part of the stacked ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video card this month. The two female warriors will compete in the promotion’s second mixed-rules superlight, blending MMA and Muay Thai together for a uniquely epic encounter.

The match and all the exciting bouts in the event will be broadcast live and for free to Amazon Prime Video subscribers all over North America.

No matter how things go, Stamp Fairtex would love to see Meksen match up against some of Muay Thai’s toughest women, including the reigning ONE atomweight Muay Thai world champion, Allycia Hellen Rodrigues. Stamp would also be interested in seeing Meksen test her mettle against the current two-sport champion, Janet Todd. In an interview with the South China Morning Post, Stamp said:

“I think Anissa would be able to have a great match with either Allycia [Hellen Rodrigues] or Janet [Todd] because the body type is kinda similar and it would be a very exciting match.”

Stamp Fairtex is quite familiar with the skills of both women. Her only two losses in Muay Thai and kickboxing competition under the ONE banner came against both Rodrigues and Todd.

Stamp Fairtex reminds Anissa Meksen exactly who she is

It’s safe to say that Anissa Meksen has little respect for what Stamp Fairtex can do on her feet. Speaking to ONE Championship, Stamp believes she can get the job done in the MMA rounds of their mixed-rules super fight on January 13. However, she warned Meksen not to underestimate her striking skills, reminding ‘C18’ that she is a former Muay Thai world champion herself.

"I think I can finish her in the MMA round because I think I’m better than her in MMA. She said her striking skill is better than mine. I want to ask her back, ‘Did you forget that I used to be Muay Thai World Champion?’ That means I will never let her bully me without a fight."

While an argument can be made for either woman holding an advantage on their feet, Stamp Fairtex undoubtedly holds the advantage in the MMA portion of the fight. This is where she could potentially put Meksen on her back, a wholly unfamiliar position for a fighter whose primary focus is the art of eight limbs. Meksen will likely attempt to avoid that possibility, pushing the pace in round one, where Muay Thai rules are in effect.
