ONE atomweight marvel Stamp Fairtex proves that martial artists have the strongest sense of restraint in the human behavioral spectrum. Just the fact that they expose themselves to violence and aggression day in and day out while simultaneously learning how to control when and where to unleash them proves this.
In her first fight bout with Ukrainian MMA standout Alyona Rassohyna in 2021, Stamp Fairtex performed an impressive act of restraint and respect. The flamboyant Thai stopped a round-house kick mid-way to avoid hitting her opponent on the ground.

Stamp dropped Rassohyna with a solid combination, which she may have intended to finish with a roundhouse kick. She stopped the kick mid-way, however, as the Ukrainian was already on the floor and would have taken the soccer kick to the face.
As per ONE Championship's rule set, while knees to the head of a downed opponent are allowed, round kicks or "soccer kicks" are illegal. Major props to Stamp Fairtex to go from murder mode to protective mode in a split second. Not a lot of people in the world have that sense of restraint.
Stamp Fairtex sends a message to her younger self
Ahead of her bout with Alyse Anderson on the massive ONE Fight Night 10 card on May 5, Stamp Fairtex took some time to recognize how far she's come. She did so by sending an inspirational message to her younger self, which she aptly called "Little Stamp".
The message was recorded by ONE and was posted on Instagram, fittingly on International Women's Day:
In the video, Stamp said:
"Dear Little Stamp. You might not be accepted by traditional society for being a girl who fights. You might think there isn't a future for girls in Muay Thai. You have to endure it because a bright future awaits you."
She continued:
"You'll get the opportunity of a lifetime to compete in ONE Championship. You'll become ONE's first-ever two-sport world champion. You will go through a lot of adversity and hardship along the way. But never give up because these setbacks will only make you stronger. Most importantly, you will inspire the next generation of women fighters. You will bring your country and Muay Thai to the global stage. Fight for it, Stamp. Be strong, determined, and disciplined."
Stamp is truly a trailblazer in bringing more women into the sport of MMA. She does so by simply being herself. Her bubbly personality and ferocious fighting style effectively break the stigma that pretty girls can't fight. She's also single-handedly raising the flag for Thailand and representing the sport of Muay Thai in MMA on the global stage.
Stamp Fairtex will have another chance to shine at ONE Fight Night 10 on May 5, when ONE Championship makes its debut on US soil.
