Filipino bantamweight contender Stephen Loman is looking to fight for a world title in the immediate future and doing so in the United States would make it even better.
‘The Sniper’ shared this in an interview with The MMA Superfan, saying it is one of his dreams to compete in the U.S. and showcase his skills live to fight fans there.
Stephen Loman said:
“Yes, I want to try and fight in the U.S. That would be exciting, I want to go there someday.”
“If they give me the chance, like they’ll give me a world title shot after the fight between Fabricio and Lineker, and it’s in the U.S. Wow. That’s a first world country, a superpower. I’ll be extremely happy and excited. What’s important is that I can bring my skill to the fight, and win.”

ONE Championship will hold its first-ever U.S. show on May 5 at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video in Broomfield, Colorado. It is headlined by the ONE flyweight world title clash between reigning world champion Demetrious Johnson and rival Adriano Moraes.
As he awaits his U.S. fight dreams to be realized, Team Lakay’s Stephen Loman is preparing himself for a possible title shot against the winner between Fabricio Andrade and John Lineker, who will dispute the vacant ONE bantamweight title next month.
Loman made his promotional debut in March last year and is undefeated in three matches to date. His most recent win came over former champion Bibiano Fernandes by unanimous decision.
ONE Fight Night 10 is available live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.
Stephen Loman says "KO artist" Fabricio Andrade is "a problem" for John Lineker
Team Lakay’s Stephen Loman believes Fabricio Andrade will pose a problem to John Lineker in their rematch for the vacant ONE bantamweight world title next month.
While he still sees the outcome of the match as a toss-up, ‘The Sniper’ nonetheless said being a knockout artist makes Andrade a handful even for a seasoned fighter like Lineker.
In the same interview, Stephen Loman said:
“As for Andrade, I think that he really is a KO artist. He uses his striking a lot, his kicks, knees, and his pressure against Lineker was tremendous as well. He has these quick and beautiful combinations as well. I think that’s Andrade’s advantage. He’s a problem for John Lineker.”
Stephen Loman will be an interested observer at ONE Fight Night 7 on February 24 as he could be the next opponent of the winner between Andrade and Lineker.
ONE Fight Night 7 takes place at the historic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. All the action in the event will be broadcast live and for free on Prime Video for all Amazon subscribers across North America.
