Filipino bantamweight star Stephen Loman has produced an undefeated run in ONE Championship, which has put him in line for a potential shot at the ONE bantamweight world championship.

Despite his win over former world titleholder Bibiano Fernandes at ONE on Prime Video 4, Loman has had to wait for a potential world title opportunity.

After John Lineker and Fabricio Andrade’s fight at ONE on Prime Video 3 ended in a no contest, a rematch was set with the vacant ONE bantamweight world championship on the line again.

As the two Brazilians prepare to face off for a second time, Loman will be watching closely on February 24 to see who he could face in the biggest fight of his career to date.

In an interview with The MMA Superfan, the Team Lakay standout spoke about the upcoming rematch and his thoughts on how it will play out this time around:

“This is another hard one to predict. As long as they give their best, the fans win. Let’s just see who is willing to go the extra mile and push through adversity. There’s a world title at stake, after all. I know they’ve trained well for each other. This is going to be a good fight. It’s going to be a war and even though Fabricio Andrade dominated the first fight, anything can happen in the rematch. Let’s just wait and see.”

Stephen Loman surprised by Chingiz Allazov’s KO victory over Superbon

Like many fans who tuned into the main event of ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video, Stephen Loman was shocked by Chingiz Allazov’s performance.

On January 13, Allazov finished Superbon Singha Mawynn in the second round to become the new ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion.

With the biggest win and most impressive performance of his career to date, Chingiz Allazov left jaws on the floor with his devastating finish in a fight that many believed would come right down to the wire.

In the same interview, Stephen Loman spoke about his reaction to the main event of ONE’s first event of the year:

“That was a really shocking result. I was surprised how Chingiz Allazov knocked out Superbon. I didn’t know he had that kind of power, to be honest. It was really exceptional. But it is what it is. We just witnessed how strong Allazov really is. He had the better boxing game, and he was able to catch Superbon during the fight.”

Stephen Loman will hope to join Chingiz Allazov as one of the promotion's new world champions when he potentially gets his shot at the ONE bantamweight world championship.

After making his promotional debut in December 2021, ‘The Sniper’ has produced three wins inside the circle to rise to the top of the bantamweight rankings and solidify his place as a world title challenger in the near future.
