Kevin Holland, who's still nursing the rib injury that forced an abrupt ending to his UFC 307 clash against Roman Dolidze, had a pointed message for fans who were upset about their ruined betting parlays. 'Trailblazer''s third loss in his last five outings saw his coach stop him from continuing into the second round due to a severe rib injury.

The main card fight on the Salt Lake City, Utah pay-per-view showcase had started competitively, with Holland landing leg kicks and solid strikes. However, a takedown by Dolidze led to a grappling exchange that culminated in a disappointing outcome for the American.

While attempting an armbar, Holland twisted his midsection awkwardly, causing immediate damage to his rib. Though he survived the opening round, it was clear he couldn’t continue, and the fight was called off.

He also said:

"This some real sh*t right here. Y'all talking about parlays, it still hurts when I sh*t. Fu*k this rib."

Kevin Holland's coach defends fight stoppage at UFC 307

Kevin Holland faced a tough setback at UFC 307, as he suffered a rib injury during his bout against Roman Dolidze. The injury, which occurred while grappling in the closing moments of the first round, left Holland in visible pain as he struggled to rise to his feet.

Holland’s coach, Bob Perez, made the critical decision to stop the fight before the second round began. While the decision may have been disappointing for fans, Perez claimed that it was the right thing to do, given Holland’s compromised physical condition. He took to Instagram to shed light on his decision and wrote:

"We took the L [loss] last night. Rib injury while escaping. Could not continue. I called the fight. It su**s, but was the right thing to do. Thank you for the love.” [H/t: MMA Junkie]
