ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion Superbon Singha Mawynn is flattered by being dubbed the No. 1 pound-for-pound kickboxer in the world. Still, the Thai superstar believes he has to pick a few more off the list to truly earn that designation.

After scoring incredible wins against Giorgio Petrosyan and Marat Grigorian in back-to-back fights, Superbon will attempt to cross another big name off his hitlist this Friday night, defending his featherweight kickboxing crown against the No. 1 ranked contender Chingiz Allazov.

Ahead of their long-awaited world title clash, Superbon spoke with ONE Championship to share his thoughts on being dubbed the pound-for-pound best in the world:

“I’m very honored and happy that people think of me like that. However, for me, I still think that there’s a lot of other strikers who are above me or who I have to fight before I can fully say that I accept this title.”

Though Superbon may not believe his own hype, the raucous crowd at Impact Arena in Bangkok will undoubtedly back their hero every step of the way. Luckily, you don’t have to be in Bangkok to see all the action.

ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video will air live and for free in North America on Amazon Prime Video with an active subscription.

Stamp Fairtex believes her countryman Superbon Singha Mawynn will get the job done at ONE Fight Night 6

Once Stamp Fairtex takes care of business in her highly anticipated mixed rules superfight with Anissa Meksen on Friday night, she will be cheering on her countryman Superbon Singha Mawynn as he headlines a stacked card featuring some of ONE Championship’s biggest names.

Ahead of her own walk to the circle, Stamp spoke with ONE Championship and shared her support for the featherweight kickboxing champion, saying:

“I will definitely cheer for Superbon because Superbon is really strong and smart. Plus, he will compete in Thailand, so he will be more eager and pumped up by all Thai fans shouting out in the stadium. I believe that Superbon can read opponent's movements well. He always has a good game plan in the circle. I believe that he will definitely protect the belt again this time.”

Will Superbon Singha Mawynn continue to prove his designation as the best kickboxer in the world today or will the power of Chingiz Allazov be too much for the reigning world champion to overcome?
