ONE flyweight kickboxing champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 is intent on retaining his world title at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video.

Superlek will make his first title defense after acquiring the vacant flyweight kickboxing belt this past January, defeating Spain's Daniel Puertas by unanimous decision.

The Thai striker was originally scheduled to face promotional superstar Rodtang Jitmuangnon, but an injury forced 'The Iron Man' out of the bout.

Australia's Danial Williams now steps in as a late replacement to challenge the champ. 'Mini T' was lined up to face Portugal's Rui Botehlo, but this possibly life-changing opportunity fell at his feet.

Ahead of the contest, the champ posted on Instagram:

"Everyone wants to have it as well as me. Since I got it, I will maintain it for as long as possible 🏆🥇 ⚡️⚡️🤫🤫🇸🇬🇹🇭✌️✌️👊👊"

Superlek will now face Danial Williams following injury to Rodtang Jitmuangnon

Flyweight Muay Thai king Rodtang was aiming to become a two-sport world champion, but he'll have to put his goals on hold after an undisclosed injury forced him out of his fight at ONE Fight Night 8.

The flyweight kickboxing world title bout is still happening, but it's Danial Williams who will be stepping in to replace Rodtang. 'Mini T' went 3-1 in 2022 with victories over Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke, Namiki Kawahara, and Zelang Zhaxi.

"With Rodtang out due to injury, 'Mini T' Danial Williams steps in on short notice to face Superlek for the ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Title in the main event of ONE Fight Night 8 💥🥊"

Meanwhile, Superlek is riding a four-fight win streak into his first title defense, picking up wins over Taiki Naito, Walter Goncalves, Panpayak Jitmuangnon, and the aforementioned Puertas to attain the vacant strap.

The 27-year-old has been a force since signing with ONE Championship back in 2020, amassing a record of 8-1 with his lone finish coming via elbow against Goncalves.

Make sure to tune in to ONE Fight Night 8 on March 24 to watch Superlek attempt to defend his flyweight kickboxing world title against late-replacement Danial Williams, live from the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

All of the action will be broadcast live and for free across North America to Amazon Prime subscribers.
