ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 is ready for the first defense of his throne at ONE Fight Night 8. Across the Circle from him will be Aussie striker Danial 'Mini T' Williams. Just a mere two months after beating Daniel Puertas for the belt earlier this year, 'The Kicking Machine' is already returning to the Circle.

He is facing no run-of-the-mill world title challengers, either. Superlek Kiatmoo9 was booked to face fellow world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon, who is on a 13-fight Muay Thai and kickboxing winning streak.

Due to an unfortunate last-minute injury, however, Rodtang had to pull out of the fight. 'The Iron Man' has been replaced by divisional standout Danial Williams.

Nevertheless, Superlek is determined to defend his throne and leave the Singapore Indoor Stadium with gold hoisted on his shoulder. Regardless of who is put in front of him, 'The Kicking Machine' is ready.

In a recent Instagram photo shared by Superlek himself, the Muay Thai kingpin posted some confident words ahead of his ONE flyweight kickboxing world championship bout:

"This 25th, there can only be one man. Right, one way, ready to work. This line of champions must stay in the same place. This line of champions must return to Thailand 🇹🇭 ⚡️🏆🥇 Just trust 🙏⚡️✈️✈️ 👊 Soup. Let's go. 🤫"

Superlek Kiatmoo9 is oozing confidence ahead of his first ONE flyweight kickboxing world championship defense. We don't see an ounce of nerve in-between his words, despite the pressure of having to deal with a late opponent-change.

This can only mean that he's done the work and has left no stone unturned, ahead of his epic clash on Friday night..

ONE Fight Night 8 is ONE Championship’s third Amazon card of the year and will be available live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.

Rodtang out of Superlek Kiatmoo9 world title fight, gets replaced by Danial Williams

ONE Fight Night 8 experienced some major overhaul of its fight card just days before the mega-event. Original event headliner Rodtang Jitmuangnon was supposed to face Superlek Kiatmoo9 in a champion vs. champion match for the latter's kickboxing belt.

The fight was supposed to be Rodtang's first attempt at becoming a two-sport world champion in the promotion. Ultimately, it was not to be after the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion got injured in training just days before the event.

ONE Championship announced the unfortunate incident on Instagram:

"With Rodtang out due to injury, 'Mini T' Danial Williams steps in on short notice to face Superlek for the ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Title in the main event of ONE Fight Night 8 💥🥊 @dmini_t @superlek789"

Danial 'Mini T' Williams has had a busy 2022. He fought a total of four times with three straight wins. He has knockout wins over Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke and Zelang Zhaxi and a dominant UD win over Namiki Kawahara.

Williams' upcoming bout for the ONE flyweight kickboxing world championship will be his return to the striking realm after going the distance in a Fight of the Year bout against Rodtang Jitmuangnon back in 2021.
