ONE Championship fans are in for a treat at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video, as they'll witness Tammi Musumeci step inside the circle for the very first time.

Submission grappling fans will already know plenty about Tammi and her credibility in the sport. Now, though, she has the opportunity to showcase her skills on the biggest stage possible.

As the elder sister of ONE flyweight submission grappling world champion Mikey Musumeci, she couldn’t possibly have a better sparring partner.

The siblings started training together at a young age and have both established incredible runs in submission grappling competition before signing with ONE and helping to grow the sport.

The 28-year-old will debut against Brazil’s Bianca Basilio, as reported by the South China Morning Post. They announced the ONE debut of Tammi Musumeci on Instagram with the caption:

“Tammi Musumeci, the older sister of ONE flyweight submission grappling champ @mikeymusumeci, is set to debut with the promotion at #ONEFightNight8 on March 25 in Singapore... The four-time no-Gi champ will meet @biabasiliojj in a strawweight grappling contest. Basilio impressed in her ONE debut last November, submitting Milena Sakumoto in less than a minute.”

ONE Fight Night 8 is set for March 24 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium and will be available live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.

Mikey Musumeci’s sister Tammi Musumeci wins 2022 IBJJF No Gi world title

Mikey and Tammi Musumeci have both been incredibly successful in submission grappling. Whilst ONE Championship fans who aren’t as invested in the world of pro grappling may be more familiar with Mikey’s accomplishments, his older sister is no slouch either.

The ONE flyweight submission grappling world champion couldn’t help but express how proud he was of his sister after she took home her fourth IBJJF no gi world title last year.

As a qualified lawyer who swaps the suit for a rashguard every time she steps on the mat, Tammi is out to break new ground in submission grappling with her accomplishments.

At the 2022 installment of the IBJJF Worlds, one of the biggest events in the grappling calendar, Tammi ended her weekend with a rear-naked choke submission victory over Jasmine Rocha to take home another gold medal.

With her fourth no gi world championship win, Mikey Musumeci showed his appreciation for what his sibling was able to accomplish on Instagram, writing the caption:

“TAMMI NOW 5X BLACK BELT WORLD CHAMPION! My sister did it and is now the 2022 NOGI BLACK BELT WORLD CHAMPION. 😭❤️ Tammi works 5 days a week as a lawyer, and on her weekend off we drove to Cali, where she won her 5th world title in black belt. I’m so proud of her for her performance today, but also for the person she is. #proudbrother”
