ONE flyweight submission grappling world champion Mikey Musumeci is only 26 years old but he's achieved more in jiu-jitsu than men twice his age. 'Darth Rigatoni' is the first American grappler to ever win the IBJJF world title five times and is the first-ever world champion on ONE Championship's submission grappling roster.

It's been quite the journey so far for a nerdy little kid from Marlboro, New Jersey. He is, however, not done yet. In a short video package put together by ONE Championship, we see Mikey Musumeci as a child learning jiu-jitsu with his sister and fellow world champion Tammi Musumeci up to his crowning as the inaugural ONE flyweight submission grappling world champion.

Here's the video:

What's frightening is how, at just 26 years old, Musumeci is already better than most athletes decades older than him. What's even more frightening is that he's still getting better. We're still yet to see the athletic prime of the world's most dangerous nerd. It's a scary idea for any professional grappler in his weight class.

Mikey Musumeci destroys Gantumur Bayanduuren's leg in thrilling 10-minute performance at ONE Fight Night 6

If you want to understand the level of irreparable damage leg locks can do to someone, watch the 10-minute domination of Gantumur Bayanduuren by Mikey Musumeci. The bout, which was on the main card of ONE Fight Night 6 in Thailand, was for Musumeci's ONE flyweight submission grappling world title.

Musumeci didn't waste any time getting into his famous attack mode. 'Darth Rigatoni' eventually trapped one of his opponent's arms but then masterfully transitioned to an Ashi garami leglock position.

From that point till the end of the bout, Mikey Musumeci showed everyone a leglock clinic, moving from kneebars to heel hooks to his patented 'Mikey Lock'. Needless to say, Bayanduuren's leg – particularly his right knee – was severely damaged after constantly taking punishment.

Despite this, the Mongolian sambo specialist refused to tap out and finished the bout with the moral victory of not getting submitted by the famous 'Darth Rigatoni'. Musumeci earned a clear unanimous decision win after 10 minutes of pulverizing Bayanduuren's leg.
