There's no denying just how much Kade Ruotolo loves jiu-jitsu.

The reigning and undisputed ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion has been training since he was eight years old, alongside twin brother Tye, the ONE welterweight submission grappling king.

According to Ruotolo, just something about grappling makes him really happy in training and competition.

Speaking as a guest on a recent appearance on the Jaxxon Podcast, Ruotolo talked about what makes grappling exciting for he and his brother.

The 21-year-old phenom said:

"What makes jiu-jitsu matches exciting are the scrambles, for the most part. The transfer of positions and rolling into submissions. It's kind of the exciting part of jiu-jitsu."

Kade Ruotolo is part of the new school of grappling and is one of the best in scramble situations. Opponents don't want to get caught in transition against any of the Ruotolo brothers because the twins can pull submissions out of their hat like lightning.

That being said, Ruotolo will need to forego pure grappling and put his BJJ career on hold for his next fight in ONE Championship, at least for a little while.

The 21-year-old is making his highly anticipated professional mixed martial arts debut in less than two months' time.
