Charles Oliveira is set to take on Islam Makhachev at UFC 280 in one of the most eagerly awaited title fights in recent memory.

'Do Bronx' is looking to reclaim the throne that slipped through his grasp on the scales last time out when he missed weight against Justin Gaethje. The fight against Gaethje, just as the fight against Makhachev, was situated in enemy territory.

Oliveira fought 'The Highlight' in his home state of Arizona, and the Brazilian will take on Makhachev in the area where the Dagestani fighter has a big fanbase. It seems, however, that having to fight both his opponent and the crowd is something that excites Oliveira.

'Do Bronx' spoke to the media today during the pre-fight press conference and said this about fighting the Dagestani in Abu Dhabi:

"I'm home, I like to be in places like this. I always invite them to come to my house, they never come to my house so I knock on people's doors and go to theirs."

Charles Oliveira would love nothing more than to silence both the crowd and Makhachev's team by defeating the Dagestani on Saturday night. But with both fighters being highly skilled, a close fight should be expected.

Charles Oliveira thinks that Khabib Nurmagomedov is the reason that Islam Makhachev is fighting for the title

Charles Oliveira will fight Islam Makhachev to decide the lightweight championship in UFC 280's main event in Abu Dhabi.

As fight night edges closer, more and more fight predictions are coming out. People believe that despite Makhachev's undeniable talent, the fact that he hasn't fought anyone ranked in the top 10 yet means that Oliveira will be too much for him.

The Dagestani's resume has been brought up on multiple occasions by pundits, but most recently by 'Do Bronx' himself. The Brazilian claimed that the only reason Makhachev is fighting for the title is because of his close relationship with Khabib Nurmagomedov.

'Do Bronx' appeared in front of the media, and said the following:

"If it was any other guy, he would have had to walk the walk I had to walk. Knocking on people's doors, trying to get into the top 5. The reason why this fight is happening is because of him [Khabib Nurmagomedov]."
