Francis Ngannou and Renan Ferreira got intense at the ceremonial weigh-ins before their PFL clash and many online are sounding off about it. We are hours away from these two heavyweights stepping inside the PFL smart cage to battle at the Brace for Impact pay-per-view. The PFL Super Fights card transpires on Oct. 19 with Ngannou versus Ferreira topping the marquee.
The two went head to head as kickboxing legend/ PFL figurehead Ray Sefo stood between the pair of MMA giants. Several IG users took to the comment section to offer their thoughts including former Bellator champions.

Francis Ngannou and the titles he fights for this weekend
Francis Ngannou will be vieing for the PFL Super Fights heavyweight title against last year's PFL tournament champion in Ferreira. But that is not the only belt on the line tomorrow. The unofficial title is one that does have a far deeper tradition to it and it's one that dates back to 1998.
The 38-year-old will defend his lineal MMA heavyweight title against Ferreira as he carries on a tradition that ties back to Randy Couture. In a very familiar tale to Ngannou's, Couture left the UFC as their reigning heavyweight titleholder and would drop his lineal title to Enson Inoue.
The championship would then change hands multiple times under the Pride FC banner thereafter with then-lineal titleholder Fedor Emelianenko also defending the belt with Bodog, Affliction, and Strikeforce. The lineal MMA heavyweight belt would change a couple of times under the Strikeforce banner with Alistair Overeem eventually being the one to take the lineal strap back to the UFC.
'The Predator' has taken the lineal MMA heavyweight title to defend it under a non-UFC banner for the first time in well over a decade. Francis Ngannou did the same thing as Randy Couture, as mentioned earlier, following a title defense against Ciryl Gane as well as a foray into boxing for bouts against Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.
The Cameroon native returns to mixed martial arts after almost two years away from donning the four ounce gloves and many see this Ngannou vs. Ferreira bout as one that will solidify the best heavyweight in the sport today.
