Ronaldo Rodriguez and Ode Osbourne got into a fiery exchange at the Noche UFC 306 press conference.
Rodriguez and Osbourne engaged in a lengthy battle of words in which 'Lazy Boy' was mostly speaking in Spanish. The verbal sparring, according to several fans and reporters who speak the language, was punctuated by an abundance of profanity. UFC translator Fabiano Buskei had his hands full trying to keep up with Rodriguez, who did his best to get the message across.
An MMA account on X, @TheMMAfoo, shed light on the exchange in a post with a disclaimer note about the heavy use of slurs and offensive language:
"Rated R version of Ronaldo Rodriguez translation from today's #UFC306 version press conference. ( Disclaimer: Most Mexicans speak like this and it’s not meant in any homophobic or racist way)."

Several fans reacted to the X post and wrote:
"Can confirm, translator kept it pg-13."
“If you only knew how bad things really were.”
"A star is born. Put him on a card with @SStricklandMMA and @ManelKape"
"100% true if he said them in English, he would be kicked out of the UFC on the spot"
"I was blushing with my limited Mexican-Spanish fluency."
"Words just hit differently in Spanish. They don’t feel cancelable in Spanish. Spanish slurs are necessary."
"Nothing too crazy called him a f***ot, said “I’m gonna beat the fu*king s*it out of you” and then told him “the only thing you’re gonna do is suck my d*ck"

Ronaldo Rodriguez and Ode Osbourne talk about fighting on the Noche UFC 306 card
UFC flyweight contenders Ronaldo Rodriguez and Ode Osbourne will square off in the opening fight of the main card of Noche UFC 306.
Rodriguez enters the fight basking on the strength of a six-fight win streak. On the other hand, Osbourne wields a 4-5 in the UFC and enters the fight on a two-fight skid.
Speaking in an interview with UFC about the experience of fighting on the card dedicated to celebrating the Mexican spirit of fighting, Rodriguez said:
“I’m really proud about it because it’s an event dedicated to us, the Mexicans. The ones who are willing to die on the line.”
Meanwhile, Osbourne said:
“I think it’s going to be an experience like nobody has ever seen or felt. People keep asking me, ‘How do you think the fighters are going to react to walking out to the screens?’ I think for us, it’s going to be tunnel vision. We’re really not going to notice. I mean, I won’t. That’s how it is, but the experience is going to be incredible. It’s going to be a Coliseum-type feeling.”
