“Turned him into a wrestler ” - Fabricio Andrade says he did what he promised to do to John Lineker

After months of trash talk, Fabricio Andrade and John Lineker finally got to throw down in the ONE circle. Following an unfortunate end to the fight, the 25-year-old Brazilian challenger continued his trash-talking ways against the champion.

'Wonder Boy' controlled much of the ONE on Prime Video 3 headliner by putting pressure on Lineker, peppering the MMA veteran with his pinpoint boxing skills. The damage was clearly taking its toll, as John Lineker eventually went for a takedown attempt.

On Instagram, Andrade highlighted the moment:

"This is the pillow hand @johnlinekermma who said he was gonna trade with me until one of us fell out, clearly he changed his mind in less than 2 minutes of the fight and I did what I promised turned him into a wrestler ou ♂️ I'm on another level Lineker ain't it on my level. I AM THE CHAMPION!!!"

Ahead of the fight, the pair challenged each other to keep the fight on their feet, daring one another to a striking war. Each bantamweight saw an advantage against the other on the feet.

On Instagram, Lineker fired the first salvo by saying:

“Fabricio! I dare you to stand toe to toe with me and strike until one of us goes down! You do not have the courage!"

'Wonder Boy' Andrade heard this and responded:

“I will bring a level of striking that you’ve never seen in your life, let’s see if you can keep your word. #NOtakedowns.”

Fabricio Andrade and John Lineker have unfinished business

Fabricio Andrade used his length and landed well throughout the ONE on Prime Video 3 bout, landing in combinations and especially with knee attacks to the body.

'Hands of Stone' was finding more success as the bout continued, earning takedowns and landing strong punches in the second round.

Unfortunately, due to an inadvertent knee to the groin in round three, the fight was called off and officially declared a no contest. The knee from Fabricio Andrade was so strong that it shattered the cup of Lineker.

Fabricio Andrade and John Lineker went to war against each other at ONE on Prime Video 3. Even without a conclusive ending, fans are clamoring for a rematch. The pair showed that they are two of the highest-level bantamweights in the world.
