Oleksandr Usyk’s promoter Alex Krassyuk claims that the Ukrainian boxer was set to make "three to four times lower" than his last fight if he took the bout with Tyson Fury on April 29.

Talks broke down this week regarding the undisputed heavyweight title fight between Fury and Usyk. Krassyuk revealed to the media that the fight would not go ahead in April and Usyk will "take care of mandatory" challengers.

Krassyuk did interviews with multiple media outlets to talk about the fight breaking down and what’s next for the unified heavyweight champion. When asked about the money Usyk was set to make in the fight with Fury, he said this to iFL TV:

“The money that Usyk received for the second fight [Usyk vs. Joshua 2] is not even close to the money he would receive for the fight against Tyson Fury on April 29. Because the anticipated purse for Usyk would be three to four times lower than his previous fight. So when I hear people say Usyk gonnna earn some extraordinary money, this is not true, this is not even close to being true."

Oleksandr Usyk will most likely face Daniel Dubois to defend his WBA heavyweight title next. An option to renegotiate the fight with Tyson Fury to a later date in Saudi Arabia is also being considered.

No.5-ranked heavyweight contender Joe Joyce shares the same sentiment as boxing fans around the world and has urged Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk to settle their differences and get the undisputed heavyweight fight made.

In an interview with Sky Sports, the British heavyweight spoke about the Fury vs. Usyk situation, where he said:

"I'm hoping that it's going to happen. It's the undisputed [heavyweight title fight]. When was the last undisputed? They need to have that fight. It needs to happen. Then you can open up some more fights. Can you just get the fight made please guys? I thought it was on. What's the reason this time?"

Tyson Fury called out Joe Joyce in a post-fight speech and told him he would face the 37-year-old London native next should the fight against Usyk not happen.

‘The Juggernaut’ spoke about a potential fight with Fury in the interview:

“First I've got to beat up [Zhilei] Zhang, before I can go and beat up Fury. I aim to have a destructive performance and beat him in style and then push [for] the Fury fight. That's the fight I want. Fury says he wants to fight me. In the meantime, I'm hoping that [the Fury-Usyk] fight gets across the line."

Joe Joyce will face Olympic silver medallist Zhilei Zhang on April 15.
